General terms and conditions for renting holiday rentals at d’Oude Herbergh, Terherne
General These general terms and conditions are binding. Both for d’Oude Herbergh, hereinafter referred to as the landlord, and for the person who concludes a rental agreement with d’Oude Herbergh, hereinafter referred to as the tenant. When making an online reservation, you have agreed to the general terms and conditions. You also agree to the general terms and conditions by making a (down) payment.
Prices as set out in the rental agreement are binding, subject to errors.
Confirmation of your booking and payment If you book more than two weeks in advance, you are requested to pay an advance of 50% of the invoice. The remaining payment must be paid 2 weeks before the start of the rental period. If you book within two weeks before the start of your rental period, the invoice must be paid immediately, at the latest within one week of receipt.
Cancellation In the event of cancellation less than two months before the rental date, 50% of the rental amount will be charged. In case of cancellation less than 1 month before the rental date, 75% of the rental amount will be charged. In case of cancellation within two weeks before the rental date, the full rental amount is due. We therefore recommend that you take out cancellation insurance with an insurance company of your choice.
Changeover day For weekly rentals, the arrival and departure day is Friday or Monday. The tenant can move into the house from 16:00 hours onwards. For midweek rentals, the arrival day is Monday and the departure day is Friday. For weekend rentals, the arrival day is Friday and the departure day is Monday. The tenant must leave the house before 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. The key must be returned to the reception no later than 10:00 a.m . Different arrival and departure days apply during Easter, Ascension Day and Pentecost.
Linen: Kitchen towels are provided free of charge. A bath towel package can be rented for €8 per person. It consists of a towel and a bath towel per set. A set of sheets costs €10 per person. This consists of 1 single duvet cover, bottom sheet and 1 pillowcase. For made-up beds, the set of sheets costs €15 per person. If the rental period is longer than a week, linen, towels and kitchen towels will be changed on Fridays upon request.
Final cleaning The final cleaning is mandatory and not included in the rental price. You must redeliver the apartment tidy and 'broom clean' (empty dishwasher and clean dishes in the cupboard; furniture in its original place and waste bins empty).
Occupancy and visitors It is not permitted to have more people in the house overnight than the house is designed for. Children count as a full person for determining the number of occupants. A child using the cot is not included in the number of people present. No bed linen and blankets can be provided for the cot. For visitors, meetings and celebrations, visitors during the day and in the evening may not lead to more than double occupancy. It goes without saying that there may be no nuisance for local residents. The latter also applies to the use of radio or TV. It is not permitted to set up tents at the houses and apartments.
Parking. If more than the permitted number of cars (2 per holiday home) have to park on the grounds of the Oude Herbergh, this must be discussed with the owner in advance.
Smoking is not permitted in the apartments and cottages.
Pets are welcome, but must be registered in advance when renting the house. They must be kept on a leash and not be a nuisance to other guests of the Oude Herbergh. A dog must never be left alone in the cottage and must always be taken along. It is prohibited to let the animals out in the gardens of the Oude Herbergh or to let them do their business.
Household waste Residual waste can be deposited in the grey container. Green waste in the green containers. Paper, glass and other waste will still be separated by the waste collector after it has been deposited in the special tourist container.
Miscellaneous. Upon arrival, dishwashing liquid, 2 garbage bags and 2 toilet rolls are available per cottage. Dishwasher tablets and detergent for the washing machine are not provided.
Liability The Tenant is liable for damage and nuisance caused by himself and his guests. The landlord is not liable for: - damage or injury resulting from staying on the premises or from using the facilities present on the premises; - claims for damages resulting from nuisance caused by third parties; - facilities or amenities becoming inoperable or out of use. All this without prejudice to the provisions of the law. The tenant or main occupant is jointly and severally liable for the fulfilment of all obligations arising from the reservation and the stay, both of himself, of all registered persons and of guests.
Lost and Found Objects left behind can be collected in consultation with the landlord at the agreed address.
